Business Challenge

A leading global provider of mobile workforce solutions and technology needed to migrate customer data to a central ERP. The historical data consisted of thousands of rows of highly sensitive information, including contract and billing information for their clients, and was being hosted on multiple legacy systems. The data needed to be reviewed and cleansed prior to the migration to NetSuite, which also needed to be done without interrupting daily business activity.

Project Overview

Working with the client to evaluate the existing systems and data, LABUR started by sharing migration processes and protocols, analyzing the data sets and running parallel tests between NetSuite and the client’s legacy systems.

After assessing the data to be migrated and analyzing potential risks, LABUR began mapping, cleansing, and validating the data to the new ERP.

At the project’s peak, LABUR had assigned five (5) Data Analysts to oversee the migration. Collectively, they escalated issues to the technology team and followed up with additional testing. LABUR also provided an expert-level Financial Business Analyst to configure an application that ultimately allowed end users to be more efficient, while also eliminating errors.

LABUR consultants also worked to verify that all sensitive data was kept confidential and useable, including contract renewal information, without disrupting the business during the execution of the data migration.

Delivered Results

LABUR provided the onsite expertise to safely migrate data to a new ERP without impact to the daily business activity of the client, and without compromising sensitive information found within the data. This included migrating thousands of records from multiple legacy systems into NetSuite.
