Global medical device firm
A global medical device firm had multiple, internally developed systems that were not integrated and required manual intervention to produce reports and transfer data. SAP had been implemented as a worldwide ERP solution for the client, however, the integration was incomplete. With a rapidly approaching go-live date and growing concern about a negative impact to end users and business units, the client lacked internal domain expertise and resources to accelerate testing in order to complete the upgrade successfully and on time.
- LABUR worked with stakeholders to assess testing needed to deliver the ECC 6.0 upgrade by the go-live date.
- With the implementation of SAP Financials, LABUR was able to centralize and standardize what previously had been a significant amount of manual testing being done offshore.
- Through the use of a defined scope of work and dedicated LABUR consultant, LABUR delivered user acceptance testing and a quality assurance test solution, in which certain manual offshore tests were replaced by automated tests.
Once complete, the client benefited from enhanced features, better control of the environment and a more streamlined flow of financial data from multiple sources. This reduced costs to the client as it eliminated the manual intervention of transferring data and preparing standardized receipts. In addition to the integrated reporting, the upgrade also allowed for the globalization of the ERP to continue.
